hunter's june obsessions

apparently, hunter's chuck e. cheese obsession was so last month. with the turn of the month, came 3 new obsessions that we're asked about at least 12 times a day (that's 12 times each, not total)...

Obsession #1
We live close to Nellie Gail and several of the homes have stables in the backyard which can easily be seen from the road. Anytime we go anywhere, the first question is, "Go see horsees?" Answer, yes. A few minutes later, "Go see horsees?"

"Yes, Hunter, we'll see the horsees in just a few minutes."

As we approach the homes that have the horses, the same process continues day after day after day. "Hunter, look at the horsees up on the hill! Do you see them?"

"Yes, yes I see 'em! I see 'em!"

And as we pass all the horses, the story continues. "See more horsees?"

"Maybe, if they're on the trails, but we won't see them on the hill any more." Which brings us to obsession #2.

Obsession #2
"Uh, see bulldozers?"

"Yes Hunter, we'll see the bulldozers in just a few minutes." Depending on the time of day, this statement is normally followed by, "But they may be sleeping since the day is almost over," or my personal favorite, "they have gone home with their mommy and daddy bulldozers because it's almost bedtime."

"I see 'em! I see bulldozers!"

And finally...

Obsession #3

"Uh, see Pillmore?" He's actually referring to Fillmore from the movie Cars. On the way to my parent's house there's an old VW bus that's parked on the side of the road. The first time we ever drove past it, Hunter started screaming, "Pillmore! Pillmore!" We had no idea what he was talking about then one day, it dawned on us.

The story continues... "Uh, see Pillmore?"

"If he's not hanging out with Sarge [one of Fillmore's friends in the movie Cars], we will see Fillmore."

As we pass and Fillmore is not parked in his usual spot... "Oh buddy, it looks like Fillmore is hanging out with Sarge today..."

"Layer?" As in, see Fillmore later?

"Yeah, buddy, we'll come back and check to see if he's here later."

And so the pattern continues, day after day after day in the month of June. What obsessions will July bring? Only time will tell...
